To commemorate World Refugee Day, the University of KwaZulu-Natal together with the Refugee Social Services cordially invites you to the screening of ‘I Live Here’ - A collaboration by the Mennonite Central Committee : Refugee Project ( now Refugee Social Services) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees ‘I Live Here’ is an eye-opening, heart-wrenching expose by children who have seen and experienced more in their young lives than any young shoulders should bear. Not only have they been forced out of the land they call home, but face hostility on a daily basis in the land in which they have sought refuge. They would give anything to receive an education, be accepted by their South African peers and not have to keep a constant eye out for danger. “Treat me as your brother or sister … I am African!” they plead. Absolute MUST SEE!
Date: 20 June 2016
Time: 13:00 -14:30
Venue : Senate Chamber, Westville Campus
There will be further screenings in July and August.
